About Sophia Anne Caruso
Sophia Anne Caruso is an award-winning actress of stage and screen, currently appearing in the second season of Netflix’s hit series “One Piece.” She previously starred as ‘Sophie’ in Netflix’s THE SCHOOL FOR GOOD AND EVIL for director Paul Feig, opposite an acclaimed ensemble cast including Sofia Wylie, Laurence Fishburne, Michelle Yeoh, Patti LuPone, Rachel Bloom, Cate Blanchett, Kerry Washington, and Charlize Theron.
Caruso first gained widespread recognition for originating the role of ‘Lydia Deetz’ opposite Alex Brightman in the Broadway musical Beetlejuice, directed by Alex Timbers, earning the 75th Annual Theatre World Award for her breakout performance. She also made her London West End debut starring opposite Michael C. Hall in David Bowie’s Lazarus, directed by Ivo van Hove, for which she received a What’sOnStage Award nomination. Most recently, Caruso returned to Broadway in the critically acclaimed thriller Grey House, starring alongside Laurie Metcalf, Tatiana Maslany, and Paul Sparks.
Her additional Broadway credits include Blackbird opposite Michelle Williams and Jeff Daniels, while her Off-Broadway work includes Runaways at New York City Center, and The Nether at MCC Theater.
On screen, Sophia’s additional film and television credits include “Evil” for CBS, JACK OF THE RED HEARTS opposite AnnaSophia Robb, NBC’s “The Sound of Music Live!” as Brigitta Von Trapp opposite Carrie Underwood, and “Smash.”
Beyond acting, Sophia writes and releases her own music, showcasing a multifaceted artistry that bridges theater, film, and independent pop.
